Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for 13 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with adults and geriatrics
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• Required to float within skillset to ICU and/or Medical Surgical units
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy blue and white
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not Compact)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be comfortable with telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC)
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Use Rapid Response/Code teams
• Manage nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Handle non-invasive airway management
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Administer blood products
• Provide central line and peripheral line care/management
• Perform IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Follow isolation precautions
• Care for long term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery patients, and surgical procedures requiring stepdown level of care
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted
• 16 hours of orientation provided
