Orthopedic NP Inpatient & Surgical Call Coverage

A hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support its Orthopedic Surgery team with inpatient, clinical, and surgical responsibilities. This is a locum opportunity with set coverage blocks through the end of the year.

Schedule:

• Monday Friday, 8a 5p

• Weeknight call + 24-hour weekend call

• Multiple date blocks available August January

• No telehealth

Role Includes:

• Inpatient rounding on post-op patients

• ED consults and surgical first assist

• Fracture care, trauma support, sports medicine

• Call coverage for ortho/trauma cases

• EMR: Epic (hospital) + GE Centricity (clinic)

Practice Info:

• Busy hub hospital serving a large regional population

• Dedicated support staff: nurses, cast techs, schedulers

• 2 exam rooms + 3 cast rooms per provider

• Imaging, lab, and pharmacy onsite

• Teaching opportunities with residents and students

• New grads welcome to apply

Ideal Candidates:

• Experience in orthopedic surgery or trauma preferred

• Comfortable with consults, rounding, and surgical assisting

• Clean background required

• Must hold an active state license or compact eligibility
