Adelphi is seeking a Physician to provide services to students at a school district in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will provide services to students enrolled in the school district, in accordance with established standards of care and in compliance with applicable policies and guidelines.Job Quick Facts: Ref ID: BD-1207-01 Profession: Physician Speciality: Physician Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Facility Type: School Job Type: Contract Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, Estimated 1-15 hours per week, plus on call (7:00 am to 4:00pm) Rate: $125/hr on site and $35/hr on call Requirements: Licensed physician (M.D. and/or D.O.) in Pennsylvania School Board and the Pennsylvania Department of Health Approved American Academy of Pediatric certification Experience in pediatric practice Educator CertificationResponsibilities: Serve as a consultant to Nursing Services Staff on all student dental health concerns and issues. Conduct student dental evaluations as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Act as a clinical resource to assist Nursing Services Staff in assessing students dental conditions. Provide referrals and participate in individual student conferences in coordination with Nursing Services Staff, as needed. Encourage parents and students to obtain routine dental examinations from licensed dental providers. Support and advise on the development of school oral health services and report on dental services to the School Board, in accordance with Board policies and Department of Health regulations.
