The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plymouth MN location for our Electrophysiology business.  In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

What You’ll Work On

• Acts as change agent to lead implementation and effectiveness of continuous improvement systems and tools in support of value stream goals and objectives.

• Facilitates and coaches cross functional improvement events to deliver positive and measurable results for the value stream.

• Supports the continuous improvement strategy in collaboration with the Continuous Improvement Department. Coordinates with operations team to ensure alignment and resource support related to continuous improvement.

• Works with the value stream support team to develop space plans and capacity models.

• Develops and trains continuous improvement methods such as value stream mapping, 5S, line balancing, standard work, and material flow to internal resources within the organization.

• Provides input for identification of department goals which align to strategic objectives.

• Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
  • 0-2  years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Continuous improvement events
  • Experience with problem solving such as A3/DMAIC
  • Med Device or regulated industry
  • Project management experience

The base pay for this position is $50,700.00 – $101,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
