A facility in Lakewood, CO is looking for GI coverage.Pay rate:$4200/ day with 8 hour gratis included$450/hr call-back after 8 hours.Orientation $200/hr (typically 4-8 hours long)Holidays 1.5x regular ratesLocal/drive-in candidates are highly preferred but not required. Travel expenses/lodging covered by the client.Schedule and AvailabilityAll shifts are 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, ending the following morning.Confirmed Coverage DatesFebruary 1315July 1219August 18 September 5Additional ongoing July dates will be presented once the above dates are filled.Ongoing need is approximately 57 days per month, continuing into 2025.Practice SettingInpatient consult-only gastroenterology serviceLevel I Trauma CenterGI does not admit; service is consult-based onlyPatient Volume and Case MixAverage of 810 new consults and follow-ups per dayApproximately 58 scopes per dayPatient population includes adult, geriatric, and adolescent patientsPediatric trauma patients accepted only if age 15+ and ?50 kg; otherwise pediatrics are not admittedClinical Responsibilities and Required ProceduresScoping and endoscopyERCPEUSManagement of GI bleedsEvaluation and management of acute GI conditionsSupport Services24/7 intensivists onsite24/7 hospitalist coverage24/7 trauma servicesNo dedicated GI support staffDocumentation EMR: EpicCredentialing:Standard credentialing timeframe is approximately 6090 days.Emergency privileges may be available within 12 weeks for candidates with a clean file.Travel and Lodging Requirements:Candidates must stay at one of the facilitys preferred hotels and request the pre-negotiated rate at the time of booking.
