Key Job Details – Charleston Nursing Assignment

• Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Ambulatory Operating Room (Rutledge Tower – 9 ORs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Shifts: Day shift options: 4x10-hour shifts (6:30am–5:00pm) or 3x12-hour shifts (6:30am–7:00pm), Monday–Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1820–$1870
• Schedule: No weekends, no major holidays, no call required
• Floating: Possible within perioperative facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or proof of application/walk-through eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NBSTSA certification required
• Epic charting experience
• Radiation badge (provided by employer)
• Preferred experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology
• First-time travel nurses not accepted
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to adult patients in a clinical support role
• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: joint replacements, arthroscopies, plastics, surgical oncology, ENT, OMFS, ophthalmology, GU, GYN, and more
• Operate and maintain specialized operating room equipment (lasers, mini C-arm, video towers, suction/smoke evacuation systems, beach chair bed attachments, Allen stirrups)
• Precept and mentor care team members in the OR as needed
• Float within perioperative services as required
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Comply with infection control, fire safety, and radiation safety protocols
• Complete required orientation and training modules prior to assignment start
