Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position with peritoneal dialysis cases and every other weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes general medical-surgical and peritoneal dialysis cases
- Day shifts with a 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 to 19:00
- Every other weekend work is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Must be fully compliant with facility requirements before assignment start date
- Return travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible
- If previously unable to return to a Piedmont facility, must complete a successful assignment outside Piedmont before returning
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed, and no RTO during the first week of assignment
- Travel pairs are not allowed to be assigned the same shift on the same unit
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Holiday coverage required: if the assignment includes one major holiday, you must work it; if two, you must work both; if three, you must work two
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers
