WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Function:
- Night Shift.
- 7pm to 7am.
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
- Continuously assess, monitor, and manage patients requiring intensive medical interventions.
- Manage ventilators, titrate vasoactive and critical care drips, and monitor invasive lines.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, laboratory values, and diagnostic results; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and ICU protocols.
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care when appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience.
- some travel experience required.
- BSN.
- BLS and ACLS.
