On Hold 4/23/2025 - On Hold - Reviewing Submitted Candidates Opportunity Overview Join a reputable medical center in Southeast Alabama as a Locum Tenens Neonatologist. This role offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a Level III NICU, providing comprehensive care to newborns and infants. Key Responsibilities Provide neonatal care in both the NICU and newborn nursery. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and a neonatal transport team. Conduct and interpret eye exams for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and collaborate with specialists for pediatric cardiology consultations. Work 24-hour shifts, with day-time in-house presence and night call duties. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology. Valid Alabama State License. NRP certification is required. Additional Information Average credentialing time is 90 days, with expedited privileging available for candidates with a clean file. The facility features 18 NICU and 20 nursery beds, with an annual delivery rate of 1600 births. Utilizes EPIC and PremiEHR for electronic medical records.
