Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Start at 6:00 AM for Open Heart Case preparation when notified the day before
• Call requirements: 3-4 weeknight calls per week from 3:15 PM to 6:45 AM
• Weekend call requirements: every other to every third weekend from Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM
• Must be willing to work rotating holidays
• Call response time requirement: 15 minutes with sleep room available
• Work in 2 CVOR suites handling 1-3 cases per day
• Common cases include open hearts (CABG, valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent procedures, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, and Impella 5.5
• Must have 2 years of CVOR experience with open heart, CABG, and valve procedures
• Must be able to first scrub and be willing to cross-train into general OR when CV volumes are low
• Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours during low case volumes
• Required certifications: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP
• 4-5 days unit-based orientation plus 2 buddy call shifts
• Scrubs provided
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Overtime opportunities available
