MS Float Pool RN – Aspirus St. Luke’s, Duluth, MN – Quick Overview Radius Rule: Must live outside 50 miles Contract: 13 weeks, Sunday end date | Start: ASAP Guaranteed Hours: 36–48 hrs/week (GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation; 36 low-census unbillable hours possible) Shift / Float Requirements 12-hr variable shifts: Day and Night rotation Float: To like units (MS, Neuro, Gen Surgery/Ortho, Mental Health, Cardiac) Call/Call-back: Minimum 2 hrs notice if low census Weekends/Holidays: 2 out of 4 weekends; every other holiday Experience / Certifications MN RN License, BLS Minimum 1 year MS experience in a short-term acute care hospital; 1 travel assignment preferred Charting: Epic preferred Unit / Patient Population MS Float Pool covering Medical-Surgical, Neuro, Gen Surgery/Ortho, Mental Health, Cardiac Primary Skills: Assess patient condition; report deviations Address patient/family needs and education Initiate discharge planning; follow-up care Age-appropriate care across clinical environments Oversight of stroke/cardiac patients; ensure Core Measures Recognize/report abuse, abnormal diagnostics Participate in purposeful rounding (7 Ps) Supply management using PAR system Additional Notes Hardworking, resilient, adaptable, independent, and social Scrubs: Royal Blue
