This role is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) working night shifts at a Level IV trauma center in Arkansas, providing high-quality patient care within medical-surgical and behavioral health units. The position requires a valid RN license, clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, leadership skills, and familiarity with EMR systems. Medical Surgical RN (Night Shift) Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Surgical RN and play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. This opportunity offers a challenging yet rewarding experience at a Level IV trauma center, where your expertise will make a significant difference in patient outcomes. Be part of a compassionate team supporting a 42-bed facility with a mix of medical-surgical and behavioral health units, utilizing advanced EMR systems and a collaborative staffing model. Required Skills: Valid RN license with current state licensure Proven experience in medical-surgical units, with a strong preference for charge nurse responsibilities and leadership skills Comfortable taking charge and managing patient care teams Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure Familiarity with CPSI EMR system and LPN coordination Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in trauma centers or emergency settings Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or PALS Prior experience with behavioral health units Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred At least 2 years of recent med-surg nursing experience, including leadership or charge nurse roles Other Requirements: Availability to work Friday through Sunday shifts during the first week, followed by Thursday through Sunday shifts the next week, on a 36/48 schedule Successful completion of orientation scheduled for January 30, with ability to work independently starting February 1 Ability to handle a typical 1:4-5 patient ratio on med-surg units Must have or obtain any necessary certifications or licensure for practice This is an excellent opportunity to advance your nursing career within a supportive environment that values your skills and dedication.
