American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 3 years of inpatient and acute care experience for a CARF-accredited inpatient rehab team.
Responsibilities- Position in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation and acute care hospital setting
- Works with adult and geriatric populations
- Multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, and SLP
- CARF-accredited program focusing on general, stroke, and amputee rehabilitation
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:30am-4:00pm Sunday through Thursday
- At least one weekend day per month is required
- Patients receive a minimum of 3 hours of therapy, 5 out of 7 days per week
- Open to 13 or 26 week contract lengths
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted
- Work as part of a large, collaborative rehabilitation team
- Supportive work environment with a strong focus on teamwork and patient care excellence
- Participation in a CARF accredited program for stroke, amputee, and general rehabilitation
- All time off requests must be provided at time of application
- Active state OT license required to start (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient and acute care OT experience
- Experience with neurological patients (stroke/brain impairment required; spinal cord and amputee experience preferred)
- First-time travelers considered with appropriate experience
