**NEED 3'S AND 4'S in Neuro and experience in all service lines!!!! Experience or 'Must have' skills: Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since we don't have specialized teams for each service line Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Department: OR (RN) *Certifications Required: BLS & ACLS* - # of Suites: 7 ORs, 2 Endo suites - Common Cases: Adults, geriatrics, Peds, Obstetric. Neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general, Davinci robotics - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since we don't have specialized teams for each service line - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge nurse - OR techs?: Yes - EMR: EPIC - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1500 // All staff are scheduled 5 days a week - Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1 night a week on call - Weekend/Call Requirements: Every 5th or 6th weekend (Sat/Sun) on call - Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotating holiday call - Floating Requirements: Pre/Post op, PACU if trained, ER for trauma cases - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week in the OR - Additional Notes: Core staff here have a lot of longevity in the hospital and department. The comradery and teamwork is exceptional and their commitment to safety is taken very seriously. Attributes that will help make a nurse successful in this department include flexibility to varied daily surgical schedule, teamwork, willingness to share experiences and educate others.
