Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 1 year of OR experience and Illinois RN licensure required.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a busy hospital surgical department
- Handles open heart, orthopedic, and a range of medical surgical cases
- Shifts are Monday through Friday, 06:45-15:15
- Five 8-hour day shifts per week
- On-call required: one night every two weeks and one weekend every six weeks
- Epic EMR experience required
- Main responsibilities include circulating and assisting during a variety of surgical procedures including open heart and orthopedic cases
- Daily duties may extend beyond scheduled hours depending on caseload
- Team-oriented surgical environment with mandatory participation in hospital and unit requirements
- On-call shifts required as specified
- Local and travel candidates are both accepted at the same rate
- Scrubs typically provided or required per hospital guidelines
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an OR RN
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- PALS and NIHSS certifications
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment
