About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Neonatal PA in Utah!

We are seeking a Neonatology Physician Assistant for a 90-day assignment in Utah, starting Jun 7, 2026. The schedule for this role is to be determined. This position involves comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, alongside meticulous documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient education.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments to obtain complete and accurate clinical information.
  • Order and interpret tests and exams to inform patient care decisions.
  • Diagnose patient needs and develop appropriate, individualized plans of care.
  • Provide patient treatment, including appropriate prescriptive practice, to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced specialty knowledge to ensure care is appropriate, effective, timely, and cost efficient.
  • Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within the defined Scope of Practice.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical care, adhering to established standards and regulations.
  • Code and bill accurately per established protocol and procedure.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate patient and family education to support the continuum of care.
  • Train other staff and provide teaching to students in areas of clinical expertise.
  • Stay abreast of current healthcare trends and participate in continuing medical education.
  • Coordinate and collaborate patient care efforts with other providers, communicating clinical information accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain manual dexterity for manipulating complex and delicate equipment with precision.
  • Engage in frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care and accessing information.
  • Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.

  • Required Board Certifications: Neonatology
  • Essential skills include manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and frequent computer use.
  • Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and understand spoken information quickly and accurately, particularly during emergencies.
  • Capacity to navigate crowded and busy rooms with equipment and stand for extended periods.
