• Schedule: 7 on 7 off, 12 hour shifts.
• Hospitalists will cover Med/Surg & ICU, including ventilator co-management with intensivist, RT, and remote support from Duluth
• Current team is 10 physicians and 2 NPs
• Opportunity to teach and precept medical and PA students, and for future program leadership
• 13-16 patients per day, per hospitalist (rounding and admitting)
• Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-50 / ICU-10. Average daily census on unit: 50-60
• Certified Primary Stroke Center, co-management with stroke neurology, growing cardiovascular program, and top-performing sepsis care
• Hospitalist team runs codes and rapid responses
• No procedures required (general surgery performs central lines)
