Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner General Medicine NC
Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving Veterans? We are seeking dedicated General Medicine Providers to join our team on a flexible, PRN basis, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served our nation. This pivotal role involves performing non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations, offering a unique opportunity for flexible scheduling and professional growth.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in family or internal medicine.
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields.
- Ability to conduct interview-based assessments and physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently within assigned locations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations or military health assessments.
- Familiarity with proscribed exam protocols and reporting requirements.
- Certification in additional specialties useful in veteran health evaluations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in family or internal medicine.
- Experience in a clinical or assessment setting involving veteran or military populations is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Own office space within designated radius of assigned locations.
- Ability to work a varied schedule including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- Willingness to travel locally; travel expenses included in rates.
- Compliance with all applicable licensure, certification, and practice standards.
- Availability to start from December 31, 2025.
This role offers competitive pay at $402 per hour with a flexible, PRN schedule emphasizing quality service and work-life balance.
