Opportunity:
RN - Observation Unit
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM
• No weekend requirements and facility is closed on holidays
• No on-call or overtime responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 3:1 for both day and night shifts
• Care for adults and pediatric patients in 23-hour observation unit
• Daily census of approximately 5 patients with 5 beds total
• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: SC State/Compact RN licensure, ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Must have Epic charting system experience
• Preferred experience: previous charge experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I & II experience
• Scrub color requirement: royal or navy blue
• Float within scope to sister facilities (downtown, Main, West Campus) as needed
• 12-hour orientation period at work site
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks but does not allow call outs
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours prior to start
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This healthcare facility operates an ambulatory surgery center with a specialized 23-hour observation unit for post-surgical patients requiring overnight monitoring. The unit is staffed with 2 nurses and a PCT during night shifts and features modern Epic charting systems. The facility provides comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients and maintains high standards for patient safety and quality care. The organization offers interdisciplinary pharmacy support and focuses on providing excellent post-operative care in a controlled environment.
