This position is for a board-eligible or board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement at a hospital in Upstate New York. The role involves general orthopedic call duties, collaboration with a large multidisciplinary team, and interaction with surgical residents and medical students. The compensation package includes a high salary, sign-on bonus, incentive plans, comprehensive benefits, and support for continuing medical education.
Total Joint Orthopedics - Upstate New York
- Salary Range: $650,000-$750,000
- Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000
- Incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
- An established group of 11 Orthopedic Surgeons and 14 Advanced Practice Clinicians
- General Orthopedic Call Required 1:9 days - Dedicated Hospitalist for weekday coverage, shared call with whole Physician group APC 1st call system in place
- Joint Replacement Center located at AO Fox Hospital, a 40 bed acute care hospital
- Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians
- Full Support Staff including APC s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
- Comprehensive benefit package, including but not limited to medical, dental, CME, transition stipend and paid malpractice insurance
- Group employed model
Job Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Completion of an accredited residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
- NYS Licensure
- BLS Certification Required
- Fellowship Trained
- DEA Required
