Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with a current CA license, a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, and required certifications for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cath Lab of an acute care hospital
- Patient population includes those with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
- Perform procedures such as coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventions and permanent pacemaker placements
- Daily caseload averages 8–12 cases
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Day shift schedule (4x10-hour shifts), 6:30–19:00, with weekend and on-call requirements
- No floating required for this assignment
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation consists of 30 hours
- Call is required as part of the position
- Block scheduling may be considered upon request
- Most RTO must be approved at the time of application
- Scrubs are provided in the Cath Lab
- Free parking is available during assignment
- Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible as a traveler
- Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state according to operational needs
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, Fluoro Permit (RCIS only is not accepted)
- Willing to consider candidates with pending Fluoro permits if already applied
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last three years in a comparable specialty
- Epic charting system experience required
