This role oversees the full scope of non-ferrous operations, ensuring efficient material processing, strong operational performance, and a safe, well-maintained facility. The manager leads day-to-day production, long-term planning, budgeting, and team development while driving continuous improvement across labor, equipment, and customer service. This position requires a hands-on leader with deep scrap-industry experience who can align operations with company goals and deliver consistent, high-quality results.
JOB RESPONSIBILIITES
- Oversee daily non-ferrous operations, including material processing, shipping plans, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Develop short- and long-term operational strategies, budgets, financial estimates, and capital needs.
- Monitor performance against operating plans; analyze results, implement corrective actions, and deliver weekly performance reports to leadership.
- Ensure labor efficiency, engineering effectiveness, safety compliance, and strong customer service.
- Hire, train, and develop team members; define roles, responsibilities, and accountability for all direct reports.
- Communicate company goals, progress, and expectations clearly to all staff.
- Work closely with the marketing team to support both immediate and long-range operational objectives.
- Maintain qualified personnel, recommend compensation, and provide ongoing coaching and on-the-job training.
