A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician conducting medical disability examinations and evaluations primarily for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Responsibilities include interview-based exams, physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury and other conditions without prescribing or treatment. The role is PRN with no call or weekends, requiring board certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R and proficiency in various diagnostic assessments and documentation.
Location: A beautiful city located at the eastern foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado! It's known for its stunning natural surroundings, including Pikes Peak! About 70 miles to Denver!

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- No call or weekends!
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Evaluations to be completed in the provider's portal and records are reviewed.
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis
