RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a Level II trauma center emergency department with 101 beds
• Typical patient ratios of 4:1 medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Must work every other weekend with flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• Float within all sections of the emergency department but not outside ED
• Use Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• Must obtain ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• High volume emergency department experience preferred (>100,000 visits)
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real-time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required
• Navy scrubs dress code required
• Follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards
• Update patient boards and communicate with patients throughout their visit
