The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining metalworking and press equipment, including brake presses, punch presses, and CNC laser cutting machines. The role requires expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, as well as conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. Collaboration with production and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce downtime is essential.

Position Summary
We're looking for a seasoned, hands-on troubleshooting mechanic with a strong background in maintaining and repairing metalworking equipment--including brake presses, punch presses, and CNC laser cutting machines. This role also involves electrical installation and diagnostics, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance (PM).
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on press brakes, punch presses, laser systems and other related fabrication machinery
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems associated with manufacturing equipment
- Conduct and document routine preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and equipment reliability
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for accurate setup and repair
- (Preferred) Support or maintain paint line equipment, spray priming, and coating processes
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce downtime
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a mechanic in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting
- Proven expertise with press brake and punch press machinery (hydraulic, mechanical, CNC)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, with experience in preventative maintenance programs
- Electrical installation and diagnostic capabilities
- Proficient in blueprint and technical diagram reading
- Paint line or coating equipment experience is a significant plus (but not required)
