6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week (3x12) with weekends and holidays as needed. On-call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Duties include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, identifying patient priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care based on ongoing assessments, performs therapeutic nursing interventions, manages patient care, and advocates for evidence-based practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care.
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care based on standards of care and patient acuity.
• Advocate for and support evidence-based practice standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS-AHA certification.
• ACLS-AHA certification.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Minimum cardiac and vascular procedure experience required.
• Critical care experience and experience with EPIC and Sensis highly preferred.
