Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts
• Weekend rotation required (6 shifts per 4-week schedule - weekends are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts)
• Holiday coverage as scheduled
• Perform 20-25 treatments per day
• Provide all aspects of respiratory care for pediatric and neonatal patients
• Work in NICU or PICU units
• Must have 2 or more years experience working in PICU and/or level III or greater NICU
• RRT certification preferred (CRT acceptable)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP for NICU
• Duties include aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton and Servo ventilators, airway management, intrahospital transport
• Assist with intubations (not required to intubate independently)
• No floating requirements
• No call or standby call requirements
• Dress code: Stone/light gray scrubs
• Work with Hamilton and Servo ventilators, Respironics & Hamilton BiPAP, and Fisher Paykel HFNC
• Use EPIC charting system
• Department-specific orientation provided based on previous experience
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract

This specialized children's hospital provides comprehensive pediatric and neonatal care with advanced respiratory therapy services. The facility maintains high staffing standards with 8 respiratory therapists per shift and features state-of-the-art equipment including Hamilton and Servo ventilators. The hospital offers intensive care units specifically designed for pediatric and neonatal patients, with hospitalists and intensivists available in-house to support complex respiratory care needs.
