Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele float position in New York requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry float unit within a hospital setting
• Requires floating to various Med/Surg Tele areas as needed
• Day shifts available, 3x12 hours (7:00–19:00), with the option to request 4x12 hours for approval
• Patient care involves medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
• Uses Epic EMR system, Epic experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Floating is required throughout Med/Surg Tele units based on staffing needs
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per unit needs
• Call-off policy allows for up to 3 shifts per 13 week assignment
• All time-off requests must be disclosed prior to assignment start

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
