An established cardiology practice in the Los Gatos area is adding a Nurse Practitioner to their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates will working alongside a fellowship trained cardiologist and assist with a variety of in office procedures . The role involves a mix of outpatient clinic and hospital rounding.

Responsibilities:

• Examine patients, take medical history, record results, and make preliminary diagnosis
• Document patient care services
• Administer and order diagnostic tests
• Perform therapeutic procedures
• Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment
• Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress
• Prescribe medications
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care

Qualifications:

• Active California State License, or willingness to get one
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
