Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position, requiring an active NY RN license and recent ICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU/SICU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Patient population includes critically ill surgical and neurological patients
- EPIC EMR experience is required and must be demonstrated
- No local candidates accepted from specified counties within a 50 mile radius
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make up shifts must be completed within a 6-week period
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Competency and orientation modules must be completed prior to starting
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical and neuro ICU settings
- Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
- Competency testing for ICU required with two attempts allowed
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
- Flu vaccine required unless medically exempt with provider documentation
