Position Overview

Description:

- Building site, bell schedule, and case load will be determined during interview at the preference of the candidate
- Consultation
- In service training
- Speaking with parents and parent groups
- Pre-referral (student support teams)
- Screenings
- Referrals for the evaluation process
- Data collection through standardized or non-standardized measures
- Interpretation
- Report writing
- Sharing results with parents and staff
- Determining eligibility for services
- Developing IEPs
- Caseload management (scheduling)
- Direct remediation within the educational setting
- Pull out services
- Consulting on academic and social issues
- Developing ongoing goals
- Documenting progress
- Collaborating with classroom teachers
- Holding annual review meetings
- Completing caseload records for special education funding
- Maintaining student IEPs and evaluations on web-based computer program
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Must work in noisy and crowded environments
- Indoors or outdoors in a busy school environment
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
- May be required to leave main work site to attend meetings
- Public contact requiring appropriate business-like apparel
