We are hiring for aNocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• We are seeking nocturnists to join our close-knit team of ten physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph London.

• We actively support each other at every turn, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Qualifications:

• Board certification or eligibility in family or internal medicine.
• New graduates are welcome to apply. Completion of training, board certification, and unrestricted APRN license to be granted before the start of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage various cases in a 150-bed hospital, focusing on complex cases in a semi-open ICU, benefiting from round-the-clock intensivist coverage.
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and engage in key medical staff committees, including the credentialing and medical executive committees, to improve communication and patient care.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, APPs, and residents from Lincoln Memorial University, fostering a culture of learning.
• Engage in weekly group huddles to discuss challenges, share updates, and ensure seamless collaboration across the team.
• Work within a structured program divided into two daytime groups, with support from a dedicated nocturnist for night coverage.
