The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner will provide both primary and urgent care services across multiple outpatient clinics in the Portland Metro area. The role involves scheduled appointments averaging 34 hours per week with a patient load of 18-22 per day, covering all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Required skills include suturing, vaccinations, splinting, and minor surgical procedures, with board certification and appropriate licensing preferred.
Providers will be floating between clinics in the Portland Metro area
Specialty: Urgent Care - Will be doing BOTH Primary and Urgent Care work - MUST be okay with doing both
Start Date: Asap
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: Days (10 hr weekdays, 9 hr weekends, half days on Wednesday - average of 34 hours/week)
Scheduled appointments - no staying late to work through a waiting room full of patients
First/Second Half Schedules:
o Sun - Wed (Hours will vary depending on where you re working 9-7pm roughly), 9 hr weekends (Hours will vary depending on where you re working - example 9am-6pm), Wednesdays are 5-hour days (9am-2pm or 2pm-7pm) - average of 34 hours/week)
o Wed - Sat (Wednesdays are 5-hour days (9am-2pm or 2pm-7pm, Th/Fri are 10 hr days (Hours will vary depending on where you re working 9-7pm roughly), 9 hr weekends (Hours will vary depending on where you re working - example 9am-6pm) - average of 34 hours/week)
May be willing to flex on schedule/do a rotating schedule and can discuss options with provider - Can NOT accommodate M-F schedule or 8 hr shifts as that is not how their practice operates!
Work Details:
Support staff: MA and office staff, most clinics are solo coverage, some double staffed - will be discussed in interview.
Amount of coverage needed per month: Fulltime
Patients per day: 18-22 per day
Patient population/age: Peds-Geriatrics
Department description: Outpatient Urgent Care/Primary Care
Skills required: Suturing, digital blocks, vaccinations, splinting, wart/cyst/mole removal
Special procedures: standard urgent care procedures
Practice Setting:
• Outpatient Urgent Care
Requirements:
Board Certification: Yes
License required: OR license in hand strongly preferred, willing to consider licensing candidates
DEA: Yes
Certifications preferred: ACLS
Minimum experience required: 2 years
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days from offer
