American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 2B Nursery night shift position requiring MA licensure and recent NICU experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a 25-bed Level 2B Special Care Nursery with L&D, postpartum, newborn, operating, and ante-natal rooms
- Patient population includes neonates, mothers, and laboring patients
- Clinician to patient ratios: 1:2-3 for L&D evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium infusion or epidural; postpartum 1:3-4
- Average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor cases
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week on night shifts from 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
- No floating required
- Uses EPIC for electronic medical records
- Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates and mothers in a Level 2B nursery setting
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary perinatal team
- Scrub attire required (not specified but typical for this setting)
- Orientation and training provided based on experience
- Parking may incur additional costs at certain locations
- First time travelers are accepted if requirements are met
- Active, non-conditional MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU and Level 2B Special Care Nursery experience required
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- NRP certification (AHA preferred)
- Special Care Nursery and newborn care skills required
- Primary source license verification required prior to start
- Flu vaccination required (no religious or medical exemptions allowed)
- Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for standard rates
