Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department Short Stay Unit role requiring a NY RN license and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Epic EMR experience is required
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Local candidates are not allowed from specified counties within a 50-mile radius
- Competency testing is required for ICU and Med-Surg with less than 2 years experience, with up to two attempts to pass
- More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, and missed shifts must be made up within six weeks
- All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of consideration
- Travelers may submit to only one position and travel pairs are not permitted
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the Emergency Department specialty
- Epic EMR experience required
- Certifications (BLS/ACLS) must be from AHA or RQI
- No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number is required
- Medical exemption for flu vaccine accepted only with documentation from a licensed professional
