Job Details:
• Work 12-hour mid shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (facility will also consider 48 hour positions)
• Weekend rotation of 2 weekends per month required
• Holiday rotation every other holiday
• Float requirements include sitting with patients without performing actual inpatient nursing duties
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Must have completed a successful travel contract previously
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and TNCC
• Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 1-2 years minimum experience with Emergency Department experience required
• Pediatric experience required, Level I Trauma experience preferred
• EPIC charting system highly preferred
• Flu vaccine required or willingness to obtain
• Provide care for pediatric emergency department patients including assessment, medication administration, teaching, wound care, EKG, vital signs, and mental/behavioral health care
• Work in fast-paced 50-bed Level 1 emergency department seeing 200-280 visits per day
• Handle both low and high acuity cases with majority being low acuity
• Work with ED techs and nurses in split department areas including fast track area and higher acuity areas
• Any professional scrubs acceptable
• Professional appearance requirements including guidelines for jewelry, tattoos, and hair styling
