PRN role at a Magnet-designated hospital with new OR and growth opportunities. Sterile Processing Technician (Certified). PRN schedule; hospital-based at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, Mansfield, TX. Per diem/PRN ongoing role supporting surgical services and new OR. - H.S. diploma or equivalent - Graduate of approved Sterile Processing, Surgical Tech program or hospital on-the-job training - Certification by HSPA (IAHCSMM) or CBSPD - Experience processing/sterilizing surgical instruments and case cart assembly - Ability to operate sterilization equipment and basic computer/inventory systems

Job Purpose

• Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instruments trays.  Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.

Job Requirements:

Education:

   

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program Or
• Surgical Technologist Program Or
• On the job training in a hospital based training program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD
