A northern Michigan hospital system is seeking a Board-Certified, MI licensed Hospice/Palliative Care Physician available to provide locum tenens coverage.Shifts needed are 24hr call, for 7 day blocks, Tuesday-Tuesday. Some flexibility will be offered depending on provider availability.
Call coverage consists of covering an home hospice service, inpatient palliative consults, and outpatient palliative care clinic. Additional Information:
- Intermittent dates starting March 2026-June 2026
- Specific needs include March 3 - 9th, March 17th-23rd, March 31st-April 6th, April 14-20th, April 28th-May 4th, with more TBD
- 442-Bed Teaching Hosptial, Level II Trauma Center
- Avg number of calls per 12 hr day is 10. Avg number of calls per 12hr night is 1.
- Average inpatient consult service census is 12-18 patients. Patients are split between physician and an advance practice provider on the inpatient service.
