About the RoleThe Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Nocturnist will play a key role in delivering high-acuity, evidence-based care to adult patients in medical, surgical, and cardiac Intensive Care Units. Working overnight (7 PM-7 AM) in a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, you will collaborate closely with intensivists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients, performing bedside procedures (based on credentialing and experience), interpreting diagnostic results, adjusting ventilator and hemodynamic support, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and responding to rapid response/code blue situations.
Provide comprehensive management of critically ill patients in ICU settings.
Perform bedside procedures (based on credentialing and experience), interpret diagnostics, and manage advanced ventilator and hemodynamic support.
Collaborate with attending intensivists and consultants for optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, family discussions, and emergency response situations (rapid response/code blue).
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, education, and clinical protocol development.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (ACNP/AGACNP) or Physician Assistant program.
Current national certification (NP or PA-C) and active Florida license (or eligibility).
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Minimum 1-2 years of acute care Critical Care/ICU experience with procedural competency required.
Strong critical thinking, procedural, and communication skills.
