Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry capabilities, requiring a KS or compact license and AHA BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a 30-bed Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Telemetry monitoring is utilized on the unit
- Cerner is used for electronic medical records
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Floating to similar units within AVC Wichita Hospitals may be required
- Staff wear ceil blue scrubs
- Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care for Med/Surg patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring
- May float to similar units as needed within the health system
- Holiday and weekend shift coverage may be required according to unit needs
- All candidates must provide two professional references and a copy of a driver’s license for consideration
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate per facility radius requirements
- COVID vaccination is not required as of July 1, 2023
Requirements
- Active KS or compact state RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
- No minimum years of experience specified
- US Social Security Number and a US home address are required
- MOAB De-Escalation Training and NIH Stroke certification are preferred
