RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission)
• Weekend requirements as needed by facility, every other weekend
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certifications: ACLS from AHA only
• Patient ratios: 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• May float to other units based on staffing needs
• Work with Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine
• Use EPIC EMR system
• Dress code: Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1-April 1
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Care for post-trauma patients, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance
