We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN physician to provide locum tenens coverage near Sacramento, California. Job Details: Location: Near Sacramento, California Specialty: OB/GYN - Full Scope of Practice (hospital and clinic-based) Urgent Coverage Dates: November 27 (7 am) to December 1 (7 am) - Clean malpractice history required for emergency privileges for these dates Ongoing Shifts Available: Flexible scheduling for up to 14-17 shifts per month Shift Hours: 24-hour call coverage from 8 am to 8 am Call & Weekend Requirements: Yes, call and weekend shifts are required Facility and Practice Setting: Clinic Setting: Ambulatory clinic visits and procedures Hospital Setting: Outpatient and inpatient surgeries, call coverage, and deliveries EMR: Cerner Support Staff: Includes a dedicated medical assistant (MA) and additional OB/GYN physician and APP support Patient Volume: Approximately 20-24 patients per day in the clinic, with an average of 38-40 deliveries per month Required Qualifications: Board Certified/Eligible in OB/GYN California Medical License Required BLS and DEA Certification Required NRP and ACLS Highly preferred Malpractice History: Clean history preferred; cases with dismissed claims considered on a case-by-case basis Compensation and Rate Information: On-Call Rate: Competitive all-inclusive daily rates Holiday Pay: 1.5x the standard daily rate Callback Average: 6-10 hours Travel and Accommodations: Air Travel Allowance: per round trip Lodging: Reimbursement available for actual expenses (up to 1.5x the local GSA rate if preferred lodging is unavailable) Rental Car: inclusive of taxes and fees Credentialing Process: Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days; emergency credentialing available for providers with a clean file Required Documentation: Includes CV, NPI/License Number, malpractice/background records, and relevant references (if available) Ideal Candidate Profile: Committed to high-quality, full-scope OB/GYN care and willing to provide both hospital and clinic coverage Able to take 24-hour call and manage deliveries, including L&D admitting and rounding Flexible availability with a minimum commitment of .8 FTE and one weekend call per month Comfortable with on-boarding and orientation, which includes comprehensive EHR training and policy/procedure guidance If this opportunity interests you, please submit your information using Job ID .
