Join our hospital employed group and enjoy working with a supportive team of experienced providers and staff. This is a rare opportunity to join a committed and seasoned team with little physician turnover. The Emergency Department has 10-12 beds with just over 15,000 visits annually. We have an admission/transfer rate of 12% and enjoy in-house support from subspecialties including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Urology, and non-invasive Cardiology. We admit patients over the age of 18 to a hospitalist service and we have a rehab/nursing home facility on campus. Physicians currently work single coverage with 12 hours of mid-level support during the busier times of the day. Radiology services include 24/7 CT, on-call ultrasound availability and daylight/weekday hours for MRI. We are located 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center and have seamless EMS protocols in place for rapid transfer of our sickest patients. Our Hospital enjoys a spectacular view of the Green Mountains, with winter skiing at the College owned Snow Bowl and Rikert Nordic center and every other season offering hiking, cycling, sailing, boating, fishing, hunting, nature adventures and more.
