Texas Nursing Job Details

• Location: Plano, TX 75075 (North Texas healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Unit: PCU Telemetry – 7th Floor
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,360 - $1,460
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Openings: 2 PCU RN positions available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (no temporary licenses)
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital RN experience
• At least 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Professional appearance: royal blue scrubs required
• No artificial nails, gel, or extreme hairstyles/colors; only ear piercings permitted
• Body art should be covered whenever possible

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to PCU/Stepdown patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond to emergencies and deliver advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) as needed
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and attendance standards
• Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
