About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Compounder
• Pay Rate Range: $23.00-$27.00/Hour
• Location: Rockford, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in chemistry, manufacturing, or related field is a plus.
2. 2+ years of experience in chemical compounding, mixing, or manufacturing preferred, ideally in adhesives, foams, coatings, or similar industries.
3. Basic understanding of chemical handling, safety, and labeling (SDS, GHS, etc.).
4. Ability to read and follow batch sheets, operating procedures, and safety protocols.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
6. Comfortable working in environments with exposure to chemicals, odors, and temperature variation.
7. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus.
8. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner.
10. PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite preferred.
11. Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.
12. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
13. Industrial forklift certification preferred.
14. Positive can-do attitude.
15. Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs and able to stand and walk for an entire shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The Compounder is responsible for the accurate preparation, mixing, and handling of raw materials to produce foam adhesive according to strict formulation and safety standards. This role is critical to maintaining product consistency, quality, and safety in a chemical manufacturing environment.
2. Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all employees.
3. Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials and chemical ingredients following batch records, formulations, and safety guidelines.
4. Operate mixing and blending equipment such as high-speed mixers, tanks, agitators, and pumps.
5. Monitor reaction times, temperatures, and material conditions throughout the compounding process.
6. Ensure batch integrity by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), GMP, and quality control protocols.
7. Complete accurate batch documentation, including lot numbers, weights, and process times.
8. Perform in-process testing and make minor batch adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
9. Clean and sanitize mixing equipment, tanks, and work areas per company protocols.
10. Work closely with quality control, maintenance, and production teams to maintain smooth operations.
11. Maintain a safe work environment by following chemical handling, PPE, and hazard communication procedures.
12. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health standards and requirements.
13. Identify and implement improvements to existing policies and procedures.
14. Perform other tasks as assigned.
