Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Near Ripley, OK We are seeking a skilled internal medicine gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position near Ripley, OK. Position Details: Specialty: Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Provider Type: Physician Request Type: Locums-To-Perm Coverage Type: Call Only Practice Setting: Inpatient EMR System: Epic Key Responsibilities: Schedule: Average in-house hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM (10 hours). On-call duties from 6 PM to 8 AM (14 hours), with an average of 1-3 call-backs overnight per week. Average 15-20 patients per day plus 5 procedures. Average calls while on call range from 0-10 per night (7 PM to 7 AM). Practice Details: Handle both rounding and procedures. Manage a patient load of 15-20 per shift. Department includes 239 beds. Qualifications and Requirements: Licensing and Certification: Must be licensed in Oklahoma or hold an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license. Board certification is required; eligibility is acceptable. Required certifications include ACLS. BLS and ATLS are not required. PALS is not required. Privileges: Temporary privileges are available. No hospital/surgery center privileges required. Additional Information: Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated to be 60 days. Facility Details: The facility is open to IMLC bids at this time.
