Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Eureka, California (CA). Starting in as soon as possible, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology role:
- EMR: Cerner
- Expected patient encounters per day: 5-8
- Average deliveries for hospitalists: 1-4
- Typical cases/procedures: Triage, deliveries, emergent GYN
- NICU Level: II
- Total Hospital Deliveries (annually): 673
- Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg): 56
- Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 1
- Backup available to the Hospitalists: Yes; employed/community providers
- 8 exam rooms
- Avg Hospital GYN surgeries per week: 2.5
- Low Risk Pregnancy 60%
- High Risk Pregnancy 40%
- C-Section: 20%
Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role:
- CA state license; active, unrestricted
- Board certified OBGYN
- CA State DEA
- BLS, ACLS
- 100 deliveries in past 24 months no assisted, but preformed
- 25 GYN Cases in the last 12 months
