The Internal Medicine Physician role involves conducting non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and health assessments for Veterans, primarily through interviews and some physical evaluations. This locum position offers flexible scheduling at Veterans Evaluation Services facilities or the physician’s own office, with no prescribing or treatment duties. Candidates must hold an active medical license, relevant certifications, and be willing to complete DMA training for certification in Missouri.

VES focuses on conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. Whether you choose to work from one of our facilities or your own office, this role offers flexible hours and the opportunity for ongoing work.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations such as range of motion and muscle strength tests.
- Complete and submit reports regarding assessments without any prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
- Available to work both half days (4-hour shifts) and full days (8-hour shifts) on a PRN basis.
- Provide services in your own office or designated VES facility, ensuring you meet the location requirements.
- Engage in quick credentialing and onboarding for the role.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products is required).
- Must hold an active and unrestricted full medical license.
- AANP certification is necessary.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Candidate must provide a current home address for presentation.
- Specialties considered include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Active medical license in Missouri (MO).
- Current certification in relevant specialties.
- DMA training completion required to be DMA certified.
