RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 11:15 PM with variable shifts based on department needs
• Scheduled for 40 hours per week, with possibility of 32 hours during holiday weeks
• On-call coverage required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with assignments averaging 1-2 times per week plus up to 2 weekends per month
• Must reside within 30-minute radius of hospital for call back requirements
• Orientation on day shift for up to 1 week or per manager's discretion
• Must complete minimum of 39 shifts during contract duration if requesting time off
• Must arrive Thursday before start date for Friday employee health appointment
• Circulate cases independently including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology procedures
• Assist with turnover cleaning and transport patients when needed
• Schedule cases and utilize Meditech and PYXIS equipment
• 2-3 years minimum experience circulating cases in hospital setting required
• Ability to scrub cases preferred
• BLS certification and Hawaii RN license required
• Scrubs provided by facility

This medical center operates a small but very busy and efficient operating room department featuring 6 OR suites plus one dedicated to C-sections. The facility typically runs 4-6 rooms simultaneously on a daily basis, providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties. The organization maintains modern equipment and technology to support diverse surgical procedures while emphasizing efficient patient care and optimal outcomes.
