American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring an IL RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is in an Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- 13-week travel assignment
- Patient population includes emergency and acute care cases
- Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process
- Directs and guides patient and family teaching as well as activities of other nursing personnel
- Must be able to respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting of abuse required
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
- Team structure includes direct collaboration with physicians and hospital social workers
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required
- Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred, with emergency room experience preferred
- NIHSS certification required
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation skills required
- ENPC certification preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and BSN preferred
- Completion of Workplace Violence Prevention training (e.g., DCI/BVP) required
